Step 6—Take the Photograph

Smoothly press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down.

While the photograph is being recorded to the memory card, the access lamp next to the card slot cover will light. Do not eject the memory card, turn the camera off, or remove or dis- connect the power source until the lamp has gone out. Removing the memory card or cutting power in these circumstances could result in loss of data.

Do Not Photograph Strong Light Sources

Avoid taking pictures with the camera focused on the sun or other strong light source. Intense light may cause deterioration in the image sensor the camera uses in place of film. It may also produce a white blur effect in photographs.

Rotate Tall ( 157)

This playback menu option controls whether portrait-orientation photographs taken with On selected for the Auto image rotation option in the setup menu are auto- matically rotated during playback.

Image Review ( 156)

Photographs can be viewed at any time during or after recording by pressing the button. When On is selected for the Image review option in the playback menu, photographs are automatically displayed in the monitor immediately after shooting.
