Choose the flash mode for the built-in flash.

	Option	Description
	1 TTL	Flash output is adjusted automatically in response to
	1 TTL	shooting conditions.

	2 Manual	Choose the flash level (0 284).
	3 Repeating flash	The flash fires repeatedly while the shutter is open,

4Commander Use the built-in flash as a master flash controlling

AFlash Control Mode

The flash control mode for the built-in flash is shown in the information display.

A“Manual” and “Repeating Flash”

Yicons blink in the control panel and viewfinder when these options are selected.

AThe SB-400

When an optional SB-400 flash unit is attached

and turned on, Custom Setting e3 changes to Optional flash, allowing the flash control mode

for the SB-400 to be selected from TTL and Manual (Repeating flash and Commander

mode options are not available).
