Available Flash Modes

UAuto

The flash fires automatically when lighting is dim.

VAuto with red-eye reduction

Reduces red-eye in portraits caused by the flash (A 55).

XFill flash

The flash fires whenever a picture is taken. Use to “fill-in” (illuminate) shadows and backlit subjects.

YSlow sync

Auto flash mode is combined with slow shutter speed.

Suited to evening and night portraits that include background scenery. The flash illuminates main subject; slow shutter speeds are used to capture background at night or under dim lighting.

•Lower the flash when you do not want the flash to fire.
