Focus Lock

When the camera focuses on an object in the center of the frame, you can use focus lock to focus on an off-center subject.

The following procedure describes how to use focus lock when using A(auto) mode with AF area mode (A 64) set to Center.

1Aim the camera at the subject so that the subject is in the center of the frame.

2Press the shutter-release button halfway.

•Confirm that the focus area glows green.

•Focus and exposure are locked.
