Select the vibration reduction setting used when shooting still images. Set to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting.

•After turning on the camera or after switching from playback mode to shooting mode, wait for the shooting mode screen to be displayed completely before taking pictures.

•Images in the camera monitor may be displayed blurry immediately after shooting.

•The effects of camera shake may not be completely eliminated in some situations.

AF Assist

The AF-assist illuminator automatically lights up when you

 

press the shutter-release button under dim lighting. The

aAuto

illuminator has a range of about 2.0 m (6 ft 6 in.) at the

maximum wide-angle position and about 1.6 m (5 ft 2 in.) at

(default setting)

the maximum telephoto position.

 

 

• The AF-assist illuminator may not light depending on the

 

position of the focus area or the shooting mode.

 

 

Off
