10. Voice mail*

Voice mail allows callers to leave a voice message, which can be retrieved at any time. However, voice mail is independent of your phone’s software. To use voice mail, your service provider must furnish a voice mail subscription and a voice mailbox number. Also, the voice mailbox number must be saved to your phone. Your service provider can tell you how to record a mailbox greeting and how to change the temporary password.

When you receive a voice message, your phone lets you know by beeping, displaying a message, or both. The exact method of notification depends upon your service provider.

•If you receive more than one voice mail message, your phone displays the number received.

•If you’ve subscribed to more than one phone line, a message indicates which line has the message.

•Save the voice mailbox number*

1At the Start screen, press Menu.

2Press the roller and scroll until Voice messages appears.

3Press the roller and scroll until Voice mailbox number appears.

4Press the roller, enter the voice mailbox number, and press OK. Voice mailbox no. saved appears on screen.

5Press to return to the Start screen.
