5Scroll until Change restriction password appears and press the roller.

6Enter the current restriction password and press OK.

7Enter the new restriction password and press OK.

8Re-enter the new restriction password for verification and press OK. Restriction password changed appears on screen.

9Press to return to the Start screen.

•SIM card security

You can protect your phone against unauthorized use by setting it to request your PIN code every time the phone is switched on. The PIN code is usually supplied with the SIM card. If not, contact your service provider. To change your PIN code, see “Change your PIN code” on page 69.

Note: If you enter an incorrect PIN code 3 times in a row, the SIM card is blocked and you’ll need to enter the PUK code to unblock.

1At the Start screen, press Menu.

2Scroll until Settings appears and press the roller.

3Scroll until Security settings appears and press the roller. SIM card security appears on screen.

4Press the roller, enter the PIN code, and press OK.

5Scroll to On and press the roller.

SIM card security on appears on screen.

•Module security

Added security for analog networks is provided via the Module security feature. Module security prevents unauthorized use of the optional AMPS module by requesting a code upon power-up. The AMPS module must be attached for this feature to show up on your menu.
