Recording Movies

Follow the instructions below to shoot movies with sound recorded via the built-in microphone.

1 Select T mode.

• The maximum length of the movie that can be recorded is displayed in the monitor.

2 Press the shutter-release button to start recording.

A progress bar at the bottom of the monitor shows the amount of recording time remaining.

To end recording, press the shutter- release button again.

Recording will end automatically when the internal memory or memory card is full.

The flash (c 24), self-timer (c 26), and exposure compensation (c 28) can not be used in movie mode. Macro close-up (c 27) can be used while movies are being recorded.

Digital zoom (up to 2×) can be applied while movies are being recorded. Adjust optical zoom before beginning recording. Once recording begins, optical zoom cannot be adjusted.

Vibration reduction (c 100) is available when vibration reduction is set to On in the setup menu.

The maximum file size that can be recorded is 2 GB.
