Synchro-recording from or CD recorder to MD

When your MD-101A is configured into a system with Onkyo Separate Collection series components (R-801A and CDR-201A), synchronized recording from the MD recorder is possible.

1 Press the INPUT button repeatedly until “Analog In” appears.

You cannot perform synchro recording with the “Digital In 1” or “Digital In 2” input sources.

2 Select a recording mode.

Refer to Step 4 on page 22.

3 Set the MD recorder to the recording standby mode.

For information on setting the MD recorder to recording standby mode and the necessary preparatory steps, see “Analog recording” on page 24.

4 Start playing the CD recorder.

Press the play button on the CDR-201A after the time indicator lights up on the recorder’s display. “Synchro Rec” appears and the recorder starts recording.

To adjust the recording level, refer to Step 7 on page 25.

The MD recorder starts recording signals from the CD recorder.

If the recording level is not appropriate, refer to Step 7 on page 25 to adjust the level.

To stop synchro recording

Press the button on the CD recorder. The MD recorder then enters recording standby mode.
