Software installation problems

Problem Solution

When I install Palm

Desktop software I g et an

error that a modem is

attached to my serial port,

but there is no modem

attached.

Take your organizer out of the cradle

and install Palm Desktop software

again.

I cannot install Palm

Desktop software with

Windows 95/98.

Try the following:

1. Disable any virus scanning software

on your computer.

2. Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE and end all

tasks except Systray an d Explorer.

3. Make sure your computer has at

least 20MB disk space.

4. Delete all temporary files.

5. Run ScanDisk on your computer.

6. Reinstall Palm Desktop software.
