¢1 How to use the ping command

The ping command is used to check whether the PC and WEB card are connected on the network. If it is executed and there is no response, it means that the IP address or some other setting is incorrect or that a hardware fault is to blame.

Follow the steps below to execute the ping command.

1.Click [Start] on the taskbar, and then click Programs, Accessories and MS-DOS Prompt in this order (if Windows ME is used as the operating system).

2.If the WEB card’s IP address is 192.168.1.50, input: ping 192.168.1.50

3.If the PC and WEB card are connected correctly, a response such as the one in the example below will be displayed.

e.g. Reply from 192.1.50: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=255

4.If the PC and WEB card are not connected , a response such as the one below will be displayed.
