Optical Image Stabilizer

Demonstration of the optical image stabilizer (Demonstration Mode)

This mode recognises and compensates jitter. You can reduce blurring caused by jitter especially when you take pictures with the optical zoom set to Tele or when you take pictures indoors where the shutter speed is slowed down.

When you press the [MENU] button, the demonstration appears. After the demonstration ends, the screen returns to the stabilizer function mode selection menu. If you want to exit the demonstration halfway through, press the [MENU] button again.

While the demonstration is displayed, the optical zoom is fixed to Wide (1k) and the zoom function cannot be activated.

Moreover, you cannot take pictures.

1 Press and hold the optical image stabilizer button A until [STABILIZER] appears and then select the stabilizer function mode.
