With this function, you can make people and subjects closer, and landscapes can be captured in wide angle, with the 12 times optical zoom.

[Preparation]

• Set the mode dial except for [ ]. (P25)

1Aim the camera at the subject and adjust the size with the zoom lever.

To make subjects closer (Tele): Rotate towards T.

To make subjects wider (Wide angle): Rotate towards W.

•The focus is adjusted at a distance of more than 120 cm (Tele)/30 cm (Wide). For details on simple mode/aperture-priority AE/ shutter-priority AE/macro mode, read P31/ P45/P46/P47.

•The picture may be slightly distorted according to the lens. The distortion will increase as you make subjects wider and closer.

•The indicated zoom magnification is an approximation.

•When using the zoom lens at high magnification the quality of the picture can be enhanced if a tripod is used. At high magnification, even small movements can cause a slight decrease in picture sharpness.
