Using the [REC] Mode Menu

For details on [REC] Mode menu settings, refer to P62.

•[PHOTO STYLE], [METERING MODE], [I.RESOLUTI ON], [I.DYNAMIC] and [DIGITAL ZOOM]

are common to both the [REC] Mode menu and [MOTIONPICTURE] Mode menu. Changing

these settings in one of these menus is reflected in other menu.

Applicable modes:

6 effects can be selected to match the image you wish to record. It is possible to adjust the

items such as color or picture quality of the effect to your desire.

¢1 This is disabled when Intelligent Auto Mode or Scene Mode is selected.

¢2 Color and picture quality are approximately the same as in the [SCE NERY] and [POR TRAIT]

in Scene Mode, but it can be adjusted to desired picture quality by using the picture quality

adjustment, white balance, etc.

[PHOTO STYLE]

[STANDARD] This is the standard setting.

[VIVID]¢1Brilliant effect with high saturation and contrast

[NATURAL]¢1Soft effect with low saturation

[MONOCHROME] Monochrome effect with no color shades

[SCENERY]¢1, 2 An effect appropriate for sceneries with vivid blue skies and

greens

[PORTRAIT]¢1, 2 An effect appropriate for portraits with a healthy and beautiful

skin tone

[CUSTOM]¢1Use the setting registered in advance.
