[AF/AE LOCK]

[AE]/[AF]/[AF/AE]

This will set the operation of [AF/AE LOCK] button when taking a

 

picture with fixed focus or exposure.

 

 

 

 

[OFF]:

The focus and the exposure are fixed only while you

 

 

are pressing [AF/AE LOCK]. (P101)

[AF/AE LOCK HOLD]

 

If you release [AF/AE LOCK], AF/AE Lock is canceled.

 

[ON]:

The focus and the exposure remain fixed even if you

 

 

release [AF/AE LOCK] after pressing it.

 

 

If you press [AF/AE LOCK] again, AF/AE Lock is

 

 

canceled.

 

 

 

[DIRECT FOCUS

[OFF]/[ON]

AREA]

 

 

Refer to P96, 98 for details.

 

 

 

 

It will set so no picture can be taken when it is out of focus.

 

 

 

 

[OFF]:

This gives priority to the best time to take a picture so

[FOCUS PRIORITY]

 

you can take a picture when the shutter button is

 

pressed fully.

 

 

 

[ON]:

You cannot take a picture until the subject is brought

 

 

into focus.

When set to [OFF], please be aware that focus may not be achieved even with the Focus Mode set to [AFS], [AFF] or [AFC].

[FOCUS PRIORITY] is disabled during motion picture recording.

[SHUTTER AF]

Set whether or not the focus is adjusted automatically when the shutter button is pressed halfway.

[OFF]/[ON]

[PINPOINT AF TIME]

Sets the time for which the screen is enlarged when the shutter button is pressed halfway with Auto Focus Mode set to [ ].

[LONG] (Approx. 1.5 seconds)/[MID] (Approx. 1.0 seconds)/

[SHORT] (Approx. 0.5 seconds)
