Using the [REC] Menu

Set the number of pixels and aspect ratio of the pictures. Select a higher number of pixels for clearer pictures. Select a lower number of pixels to store more pictures.

[EZ] is an abbreviation of “Extended Optical Zoom”.

The Extended Optical Zoom does not work in [HIGH SENS.] and [HI-SPEED BURST] mode, so the picture size for [EZ] is not displayed.

Pictures may have a mosaic-like appearance depending on the subject or the recording condition.

Refer to P97 for the number of recordable pictures.

h[QUALITY]

For details on [REC] menu settings, refer to P18.

Set the compression rate at which the pictures are to be stored.

Applicable modes: 15

[h]: Fine (when giving priority to the picture quality)

[8]: Standard (when giving priority to the number of pictures to be recorded without changing the number of pixels)
