Taking panorama pictures in Self Shot Mode

You can also take panorama pictures in Self Shot Mode.

By recording with Panorama Shot Mode, you can enjoy a variety of self-portraits, such as those with your friends or those incorporating a wide background.

•For information on taking pictures in Panorama Shot Mode, please also refer to P70 “Taking panorama pictures (Panorama Shot Mode)”.

1Set the mode dial to [ ].

2Press 3/4 to select the recording direction and then press [MENU/SET].

•If a screen that lets you select the recording direction is not displayed, press 1.

•The recording direction is reversed horizontally when the monitor is rotated. Select the direction opposite to the desired direction of rotation.

3Press 3/4 to select image effects and then press [MENU/SET].

4Rotate the monitor to enable Self Shot Mode.

•Instructions explaining how to take a picture will be displayed.

5Read the instructions explaining how to take a picture, and press [MENU/SET].

•The instructions continue to the next page. Press [MENU/SET] to proceed to the next page.

6Point the camera at the front, and strike a pose while look at the monitor.

•The AF area is displayed around the subject’s face by the Face Detection function.

•If you have selected [No Effect] in step 3, you can set the soft skin effect by pressing [MENU/ SET]. (P52)

•To change settings other than [Soft Skin], such as the recording direction, close the monitor back to the original position before changing them.

7Press the shutter button halfway (or fully) to lock the focus and exposure.

•If you have fully pressed the shutter button, release the shutter button completely.

•You can re-adjust the focus and exposure as many times as you want by pressing [ ].

8Point the camera at the start position of the recording, press the shutter button fully, and rotate the camera in the direction you have selected in step 2 to take the picture.

9Press the shutter button once again to end the picture recording.

•Recording can also be ended by keeping the camera still while recording.
