Taking pictures with your favorite settings (·: Normal Picture Mode)
The camera automatica lly sets the shutter spe ed and the aperture valu e according to the
brightness of the subject.
You can take pictures with greater freedom by changing var ious settings in [REC] menu.
Aim the AF area at the subject, and then press the shutter button halfway.
AFocus indication
BAF area (normal )
CAF area (when using the digital zoo m or when it is dark)
Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector
switch to [!].
AMode dial
B[REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector switch
Set the mode dial to [·].
Aim the AF area at the point you want to
focus on.
Press the shutter button halfway to focus.
•The focus indication (green) lights when the subject is
focused.
•The focus range is 50cm (1.64 fe et) (Wi de )/2 m
(6.56feet) (Tele) to ¶.
Press the halfway pressed shutter button
fully to take a picture.
•The access indication lights red when pictures are
being recorded on the built- i n m em ory (or the card).
