Preparation

Select the unit viewing channel (or the AV input) on the TV. Press [VHS].

Direct Navigator

This unit can display a list of the recorded programs on the inserted tape on the TV screen. You can then select the desired program, and this unit will quickly reach its beginning and start playback.

To save Direct Navigator data

Preparation

The tape length of the inserted tape must be set correctly. (l 56) The unit must not be in timer recording.

A program of at least 15 minutes must be recorded on the tape.

[1]Press [VHS MENU] to display the VHS MENU.

[2]Press [3, 4] to select “DIRECT NAVIGATOR” and then select “ON” with [2, 1].

To cancel the Direct Navigator list

Press [VHS MENU].

To delete the Direct Navigator data of a single video

cassette tape

Keep [CANCEL/RESET, ¢] pressed for more than 5 seconds while the Direct Navigator list appears.

“- -” appears on the list.

To delete all the Direct Navigator data stored in the unit’s memory (l 56)

To Demonstrate the Direct Navigator Function

Keep [DIRECT NAVIGATOR] pressed for more than 5 seconds without inserting a video cassette.
