Liquid damage
Caution:
LTo avoid permanent damage, do not use a microwave oven to speed up the drying
process.
Registering a handset to the base unit
1Handset:
{j/OK}
2{V}/{^}: Handset Setup i {j/OK}
3{V}/{^}: Register H.set i {j/OK}
4Base unit:
Press and hold {x} for about 5 seconds. (No registration tone)
LIf all registered handsets start ringing, press the same button to stop. Then
repeat this step. (KX-TG2512/KX-TG2513/KX-TG2522/KX-TG2523/
KX-TG2524)
LThe next step must be completed within 90 seconds.
5Handset:
Wait until Enter Base PIN is displayed. i Enter the base unit PIN (default:
0000). i {j/OK}
LIf you forget your PIN, see page 37.
LWhen the handset has been registered successfully, w stops flashing.
Note:
LIf the registration fails, try to deregister the handset and then re-register it again.

Repeat from step 1.
Problem Cause/solution
Liquid or other form of moisture
has entered the handset/base
unit.
LDisconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line
cord from the base unit. Remove the batteries
from the handset and leave to dry for at least
3 days. After the handset/base unit are
completely dry, reconnect the AC adaptor and
telephone line cord. Insert the batteries and
charge fully before use. If the unit does not
work properly, contact an authorised service
centre.
