Answering Intercom Calls
When an intercom call is being
received, the handset rings and the
display shows the calling extension
number.
Auto Talk
If you set the Auto Talk feature to ON
(p. 20), you can answer a call by lifting
the handset off the base unit or the
charger without pressing [], [] or
[HOLD] (INTERCOM).
During an intercom call:
If you have difculty hearing, decrease the speaker volume by pressing [].
If an incoming call is being received, you will hear two tones (incoming call
tone, p. 49).
To answer the call;
if using the handset, press [OFF] and press [] or [].
if using the base unit, press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE] twice.

You can also answer a call by
pressing any button except

or [OFF]

2To disconnect the intercom,
press [OFF].
When the ringer volume is off (p. 19), the handset and the base unit will ring at
the LOW level for intercom calls.
You cannot change the ringer tone for intercom calls.
When the base unit user pages all handsets, only the handset user who
answers rst can talk with the base unit user.

indicator ashes. The display shows
the calling extension number.
