Troubleshooting
General use
Programmable settings
Store VM access# LYou have not stored the Voice Mail access
number. Store the number (page 36).
Problem Cause/solution
The unit does not work. LMake sure the battery is installed correctly and
fully charged (page 11).
LCheck the connections (page 10).
LUnplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the
unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
LThe handset has not been registered to the
base unit. Register the handset (page 47).
I cannot hear a dial tone. LConfirm the telephone line cord is properly
connected (page 10).
LDisconnect the unit from the telephone line and
connect a known working telephone. If the
working telephone operates properly, contact
our service personnel to have the unit repaired.
If the working telephone does not operate
properly, contact your service provider/
telephone company.
The communication
between the base unit and
the handset is unstable.
LThe handset may not be properly registered. Try
to re-register the handset (page 47).
The indicator on the top
right of the handset flashes
slowly.
LNew messages have been recorded. Listen to
the new messages (page 31).
LNew Voice Mail messages have been recorded.
Listen to the new Voice Mail messages (page
36).
Problem Cause/solution
I cannot program items. LProgramming is not possible while either the
base unit or another handset is being used. Try
again later.
