To fully charge the battery, charge it for 9 hours.

The battery charges when the AC adaptor is connected and when the unit is not in use.

LBattery power is consumed whenever the unit is not connected to a power outlet even when the unit is not in use. The longer you leave the unit not connected to a power outlet, the shorter you can actually talk using the unit.
