You can handle two external calls, or an external call and an intercom call

simultaneously.

Making/answering another external call during a

conversation

If you hear two tones during a conversation and another line indicator light

ﬂashes quickly, an incoming call is being received. You can answer the

second call while holding the ﬁrst call. If you subscribe to a Caller ID

service, the second caller’s information will be displayed when a call is

being received on the other line (p. 29).

Ex. If you are using LINE1

1Press [HOLD] to put the ﬁrst call (LINE 1) on hold.

• The LINE 1 indicator light ﬂashes.

2Press the other line button ([LINE 2/DATA]) to make or answer a

second call.

• The LINE 2 indicator lights.

3To return to the ﬁrst call (LINE 1), press the line button for the ﬁrst

call ([LINE 1]).

• The second call is terminated.

• To hold the second call in step 3, press [HOLD] before pressing the line button for

the ﬁrst call.

Making an intercom call during a conversation

1Press [HOLD] to put the external call on

hold.

• The line indicator light ﬂashes.

2Press an extension button ([EXT1] to

[EXT8]).

• To page all extensions, press

[INTERCOM] then [PAGE].

3After the paged extension answers, talk into the MIC or handset.

4To return to the external call, press the line button.

• The line indicator stops ﬂashing and remains lit. The intercom call is

terminated.

To hold the intercom call in step 4, press

[HOLD] then the line button.

You can delete the two tones (incoming call tone). See page 54.
