Radio operations are described mainly with the remote control.

You can alternatively use the corresponding button on the main unit.

Presetting stations automatically

Up to 15 stations can be set in each band, FM and AM.

1	Press [TUNER/BAND]§1 to select “FM” or “AM”.
2	Press [6, 5]§2 to tune to the lowest frequency
	(FM: 87.9 or 87.5, AM: 520).
	≥When performing this step on the main unit, first press
	[-TUNE MODE] to select “MANUAL”, and then press [X TUNING W]
	to tune to the lowest frequency (FM: 87.9 or 87.5, AM: 520).
3	Press and hold [ENTER]§3.
	Release the button when “FM AUTO” or “AM AUTO” is displayed.

The tuner presets all the stations it can receive into the channels in ascending order.

≥“SET OK” is displayed when the stations are set, and the radio tunes to the last preset station.

≥“ERROR” is displayed when automatic presetting is unsuccessful. Preset the channels manually (➜ right).

Selecting the preset channels

1	Press [TUNER/BAND]§1 to select “FM” or “AM”.
2	Press the numbered buttons to select the channel.
	≥When selecting a 2-digit number

e.g. To select “12”, press [S10] ➜ [1] ➜ [2].

Alternatively, press [X, W] to select the channel.

≥To perform this step on the main unit, first press [-TUNE MODE] to select “PRESET”, and then press [X TUNING W] to select the channel.

When a stereo FM broadcast is being received, “ST” lights in the display.

∫If noise is excessive

When “FM” is selected

Press and hold [—FM MODE] on the main unit to display “MONO”.

Press and hold [—FM MODE] again to cancel the mode.

≥The mode is also canceled when you change the frequency.

When “AM” is selected

Press [FUNCTIONS] on the remote control.

Each time you press the button: BP 2()BP 1

Manual tuning

1	Press [TUNER/BAND]§1 to select “FM” or “AM”.
2	Press [6, 5]§2 to select the frequency.
	≥When performing this step on the main unit, first press

[-TUNE MODE] to select “MANUAL”, and then press [X TUNING W] to select the frequency.

≥To start automatic tuning, press and hold [6, 5]§2 until the frequency starts scrolling. Tuning stops when a station is found.

∫ Presetting the channel

Press [ENTER]§3.

2While the frequency and “PGM” are flashing on the display

Press the numbered buttons to select a channel.

≥When selecting a 2-digit number

e.g. To select “12”, press [S10] ➜ [1] ➜ [2].
