Using the built-in sound
Aquality settings
By remote control only
You can choose one of three types of sound quality.
aHEAVY: Adds punch to rock b CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds c SOFT: For background music
Press [PRESET EQ] to select a setting.
Each time you press the button:
HEAVY CLEAR SOFT
Note
•Preset EQ cannot be used together with Super Sound
EQ.
•Changes to sound quality do not affect recordings.
BEnhancing the sound quality
This feature enhances the bass and treble effect of the sound.
Press [S.SOUND EQ].
Press the button again to cancel.
The button light goes out.
CUsing an external unit

1Press [AUX].
2Start playback from the external source. (Refer to your equipment’s operating instructions.)
Recording from an external source
1Insert the tape to be recorded on.
2 Press [AUX].
3 Press [[/ J REC] (recording starts).
4 Start playback from the external source. (Refer to your equipment’s operating instructions.)
DListening with headphones
Reduce the volume level, and connect the headphones. Plug type: 3.5 mm (1/8˝) stereo.
Note
Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent hearing damage.
