2: MPEG2 motion image recording
does not start although power is
supplied to the SD Video Camera
and the Memory Card is correctly
inserted.
2: You cannot record MPEG2 motion

Playback
1: Recorded MPEG4 motion images
are not clear.
1: Is [Quality] on the menu set to [NORM]
or [ECO]? If recording is done with it
set to [NORM] or [ECO], images with
fine details may include a mosaic-like
pattern. Set [Quality] to [FINE] or
[S-FINE].
2: Playback images do not look
normal.
2: The picture may be damaged. In order
to prevent the loss of image data,
backing up on a personal computer is
recommended.
3: Actual recording time/still image
storage capacity in the Memory
Card is different from those
described in these Operating
Instructions drastically.
3-1: Actual recording time/still image
storage capacity depends on the kind
of the image.
3-2: When motion image data and still
picture data are recorded in the
Memory Card, less capacity in the
Memory Card can be used.
4: Even if a Memory Card is for matted,
it cannot be used.
4: Either the SD Video Camera or the
Memory Card may be damaged.
Please consult your Panasonic dealer.
5: Playing back or recording do not
function and the screen has frozen.
5: Set the Power Switch to [OFF]. If the
SD Video Camera is not turned off
after setting to [OFF], unplug the AC
Adaptor and remove the battery.
6: Sound is not heard while a still
picture is played back.
6: Sound is not presented in the Still
Picture mode (recording or playing
back of still pictures).
7: No images are displayed on TV,
although the SD Video Camera is
connected to a TV.
7-1: Connect the SD Video Camera to the
TV correctly.
7-2: Use the supplied AV cable.
7-3: When the SD Video Camera is set to
Recording mode.
Others
1: Something is wrong with the SD
Video Camera’s operation. The SD
Video Camera is turned on but no
functions operate.
1: Press the [RESET] Button on the SD
Video Camera with a pointed object.
(Camera reverts back to factory
settings, but the date/time setup is
retained.) If this does not solve the
problem, first disconnect the power
supply and wait for a minute or so, and
then reconnect the power supply to
turn the power back on. (If the above
operation is performed when the
Access Lamp of Memory Card Slot is
lit, the data on the Card may be
damaged.)
