When using brand-new DVD-RW

Before using

When using DVD-RW, select whether to record in DVD Video Recording format (VR format) or DVD-Video format (Video format) and then format the disc. (l 21, About format types)

1When a brand-new DVD-RW is inserted in this unit, the screen on the right appears. Select [YES], then press the joystick.

2Select format type, then press the joystick.

VIDEO: DVD-Video format

VR: DVD Video Recording format

3When the confirm screen appears, select [YES], then press the joystick.

To change the format type, format the disc again. (l 104)

If the disc is formatted, then all the data recorded on the disc will be erased.
