Manual Affected FT85041/FR85041 Fiber Transmitter and Receiver Installation Manual – C1645M-A

Manual Update Attachment of Ferrite to Data Cable of FT85041/ CT85041 Transmitter

A snap-on ferrite is supplied with the FT85041MSTR/CT85041MSTR, FT85041SSTR/ CT85041SSTR, and FT85041SFCR/CT85041SFCR transmitters. The ferrite must be attached to the data cable of the transmitters to comply with FCC and CE emissions requirements.

After the data connections are made to the data connector on the transmitter, attach the ferrite to the data cable. When attaching the ferrite to the cable, position the ferrite as close as possible to the transmitter.

NOTE: The ferrite should fit securely around the cable. If the ferrite is loose and slides along the cable, loop the cable through the ferrite before closing the ferrite. If, however, the thickness of the cable prevents the ferrite from closing, use a tie wrap to hold the ferrite in place rather than looping the cable.

The materials used in the manufacture of this document and its components are compliant to the requirements of Directive 2002/95/EC.
