Compensating Flash OutputYou can adjust the flash output.1 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Flash Exp.Comp.] in the [A Rec. Mode] menu.2 Use the four-way controller (45) to select the exposure.

To brighten, select a positive (+) value. To darken, select a negative

(–) value.

You can choose the exposure value in the range of –2.0 EV to +2.0 EV in increments of 1/3 EV.

Compensating for Brightness (D-Range Setting)

Expands the dynamic range and prevents bright and dark areas from occurring. [Highlight Correction] adjusts the bright areas when the image is too bright and [Shadow Correction] adjusts the dark areas when the image is too dark.

1 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [D-RangeSetting] in the [ARec. Mode] menu.

2 Press the four-way controller (5).

The [D-Range Setting] screen appears.

3 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [HighlightCorrection] or [Shadow Correction].

4 Use the four-way controller (45) to select O(On) or P (Off).

The D-Range Setting icon appears on the

display.
