Switching the Face Detection Function

The Face Detection function locates faces in the frame and automatically adjusts the focus and exposure for those faces. You can change the setting of the function so that the camera will automatically release the shutter when one or more of the subjects smile. The default setting is [On] for [Face Detection].

	On	The camera detects a person’s face.
	Smile	The camera automatically release the shutter when your subject
	Smile	smiles.
		smiles.
	Off	The camera does not detect a person’s face.

1 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [FaceDetection] in the [ARec. Mode] menu.

2 Press the four-way controller (5).

A pull-down menu appears.

3 Use the four-way controller (23) to select an option. 4 Press the 4button.

The setting is saved.

The Face Detection icon appears on the display.
