Using AE Lock

If [9. =Button function] in the [ACustom Setting 2] menu is set to [AE Lock], you can press the =button to memorize the exposure value. (p.105)

Example: If the shutter speed is 1/125 sec and aperture is F5.6 and is recorded with the =button, and the shutter speed is changed to 1/30 sec with the e-dial, the aperture automatically changes to F11.

Using the Bulb Shooting

This setting is useful for the long exposures required for shooting night scenes and fireworks.

The shutter remains open as long as the shutter release button is kept pressed.

1 Set the mode dial to a.

2 Turn the e-dial and set the shutter speed to h.
