Sensitivity (ISO sensitivity) is a value indicating how much the CCD senses light.
Low value equals low sensitivity, and high value equals high sensitivity.
Sensitivity can be adjusted according to the shooting situations.

Sensitivity

1Press the MENU button in Capture mode.
The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.
2Use the four-way controller (23)

to select [Sensitivity].

Setting the SensitivityAUTO
The camera automatically selects the sensitivity from 64, 100, 200, 400
and 800. (In Blur reduction mode, 1600 is also selectable.)
You can also set ISO Correction in AUTO to 64 - 100, 64 - 200, 64 - 400,
or 64 - 800. (In Blur reduction mode, 64 - 1600 is also selectable.)

At lower sensitivity, images are sharper and noise is reduced, but the
shutter speed will be slower under dark conditions.
At higher sensitivity, the shutter speed can be fastened under dark
conditions, but noise will increase.
(In Blur reduction mode, 1600 is also selectable.)
