Setting the Light Metering Mode to Determine the Exposure (AE Metering)

You can choose which part of the screen to use to measure the brightness and determine the exposure.

AE Metering Modes

L	Multi-segment	The exposure is determined by the entire screen.
M	Center-weighted	The exposure is determined mainly by the center of the
		screen.
N	Spot	The exposure is determined by the small area in the
N	Spot	center of the screen only.

1 Press the MENU button in Capture mode.

The [A Rec. Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [AE Metering].

Use the four-way controller (45) to change the AE Metering mode.

Press the OK button.
