Picture interference
Whenthe picture quality is poor when you play a cassette,
pleasefollow these instructions.
Tracking during playback
aDuringplayback, press the MENU button.
bSelectthe line ’Tape’ with the buttons BPror
APqandconfirm with the SqC button.
cSelectthe line ’Tracking’ withthe buttons BPror
APq.
dHoldthe buttons DSr or SqC until the playback
qualityis at its best.
eConfirmwith the OK button.
fToend, press the MENU button.This setting willremain
untilyou remove the cassette.
Tracking during still picture
Ifthe still picture vibrates vertically, you can improve the still
pictureas follows:
aDuringstill picture, press the MENU button.
bSelectthe line ’Tape’ with the BPrbutton or
APqandconfirm with the SqC button.
cSelectthe line ’Jitter’ with the BPror APq
button.
dHoldthe DSr or SqC button until the picture
qualityis at its best.
eConfirmwith the OK button.
fToend, press the MENU button.
DPleasenote, however, that interferencemay still
occurwith poor quality cassettes.
Cleaning the video heads
Ifhorizontal lines appear on the screen when you play a
cassette,you should clean the video heads.
aDuringplayback, press the MENU button.
bSelectthe line ’Tape’ with the menubuttons BPror
APqandconfirm with the SqC button.
cSelectthe line ’Cleaning’ withthe menu buttons
BPror APq.
dPressthe OK button. ’CLEANING’ appears on the
screen.
eWaita few seconds, until the message disappears and
thenpress the MENU button.
