Hearing safety
Listen at a moderate volu me.
Using headphones at a hi gh volume can impa ir your hearing . •
This product can pr oduce sounds in de cibel ranges th at may
cause hearing loss fo r a normal perso n, even for exposu re less
than a minute. The hig her decibel ra nges are offer ed for those
that may have already ex perienced som e hearing loss .
Sound can be deceivin g. Over time your he aring ‘comfor t •
level’ adapts to highe r volumes of sound . So after prolo nged
listening, what sou nds ‘normal’ c an actually be l oud and
harmful to your hear ing. To guard agains t this, set your vol ume
to a safe level before your he aring adapts a nd leave it there .
Set your volume contro l at a low setting. •
Slowly increase th e sound until you ca n hear it comfor tably •
and clearly, withou t distorti on.
Prolonged exposur e to sound, even at no rmally ‘safe’ le vels, •
can also cause heari ng loss.
Be sure to use your equip ment reasona bly and take •
appropriate bre aks.
Listen at reasona ble volumes for re asonable per iods of time.•
Be careful not to adjus t the volume as you r hearing adapt s.•
Do not turn up the volume s o high that you can’ t hear what’s •
around you.
