How to connect a plug
The wires in the mains l ead are coloured w ith the followi ng code:
blue = neutral (N), b rown = live (L).
As these colours may not c orrespond wi th the colour mar kings •
identifying the te rminals in your p lug, proceed as f ollows:
Connect the blue wir e to the termina l marked N or colou red •
black.
Connect the brown w ire to the termi nal marked L or colo ured •
red.
Do not connect eithe r wire to the ear th terminal i n the plug, •
marked E (or e) or coloured gr een (or green and yel low).
Before replacing th e plug cover, make cer tain that the cor d grip is
clamped over the sheat h of the lead - not simp ly over the two wir es.
