Searching for a blank part of the tape
Tomake a recording, you can search for a blank part of the
tape(at least 1 minute of blank tape), for example, after an
existingrecording on the tape.
Thisonly works with cassettes with cassetteswhich have
beenstored in the Tape Manager.
aPressthe TAPEMANAGER button on the remote control.
bSelectthe line ’FIND A TITLE’ with the PROG.qor
PROG.rbutton. ’FIND A TITLE’
cConfirmwith the Cbutton.
DIfyou have put a cassette in the machine which is
notregistered in the Tape Manager, select the line
’TM-MEMORY’with the PROG.rbutton.
dInthe line ’CASSETTE NUMBER’ you can select a
differentcassette number with the Cor Dbutton.
DAlist of the titles on the selected cassette will be
displayedon the screen.

Thetime remaining to the end of the cassette is displayed
nextto the title ’EMPTY’.
fConfirmwith the OK button.
DIfthe required cassette has not been inserted into
thevideo recorder, for example, ’INSERT
CASSETTE NUMBER XXX’will appear on the
screen.
Putthe required cassette in the machine.
gOncethe video recorder has found the position on the
tapeit will stop automatically.
Editing the title
Thetitle of a recording is automatically recorded if it is
broadcastby the television channel. Otherwise the date and
timeof the recording are stored as the title. You can edit the
titleaccording to your own personal wihses.
aPressthe TAPEMANAGER button on the remote control.
bSelectthe ’EDIT A TITLE’ line. Confirm with the
Cbutton.A listing of all the recordings on the cassette
inthe machine will be displayed on the screen.
DInline ’CASSETTE NUMBER’ you can select a
differentcassette number with the Cor D
button.
