Audio dubbing
Thisfunction enables you to replace (dub) the sound track of
anexisting recording with another sound track. To do this,
connectan audio source (e.g.: a CD-player) to one of the input
sockets(for example, LAUDIO R ).You can also connect a
microphoneto the MIC. socket (programme number ’MIC’).
aSwitchthe television on and select the channel number
forthe video recorder.
bPutthe cassette for dubbing in the machine.
DForthis function, use a cassette whose numberis
notstored in the Tape Manager (TM). More
informationon removing the cassette number from
theTM can be found in the chapter ’The Tape
Manager(TM)’.
cPressthe MENU button. The main menu appears.
dSelectthe line ’RECORDING FUNCTIONS’ with the
Bor Abuttonand confirm with the Cbutton.
eSelectthe line ’AUDIO DUBBING’ with the Bor
Abuttonand confirm with the Cbutton.
fSelectthe programme number for the audio source (e.g.:
’E3’).Switch on the external audio source.
Duringplayback, locate the position on the tape at which
theaudio dubbing is to end.
gPressthe STILL/JOG ON Rbutton. ’STILL’ appears on
theTV screen.
hPressthe CLEAR (CL) button.’0:00:00’ appears on the TV
screen.
iLocatethe position at which the audio dubbing is to start.
jPressthe STILL/JOG ON Rbutton. ’STILL’ appears on
theTV screen.
kPressthe hbutton.
lPressthe RECORD/OTR nbutton. The video recorder will
startto record the sound transmitted from the audio
source.
Theaudio recording stops automatically when the
counterreaches ’0:00:00’.
DThenormal (linear) sound track is re-recorded,the
stereosound will remain.
mToend audio dubbing,press the MENU button.
DToplay back the dubbing sound track, read the next
section’Selection the sound track’.
Selecting the sound track
Youcan select the required sound track. This is of particular
interestwhen the audio transmissions are multilingual.
aPressthe SELECT button. The current setting will appear
onthe TV screen.
bBypressing the SELECT button severaltimesyou can
selectfrom the five possibilities displayed (’STEREO’,
RIGHT’,’LEFT’, ’MONO’, ’MIXED’).
DDubbedsound recordings can be replayed with the
MONO’or’MIXED’setting.
MONO’:Dubbed (linear) sound track.
MIXED’:Original sound (hi-fi sound track) together
withdubbed sound (linear sound track).
DIfthe cassette does not have stereo sound recorded
onit, the video recorderwillautomatically switch to
mono.
Headphones volume
Youcan change the volume of the headphones connected.
aDuringplayback, press the MENU button. The main menu
appears.
bSelectthe line ’PLAY FUNCTIONS’ with the Bor
Abuttonand confirm with the Cbutton.
cSelectthe line ’HEADPHONE VOLUME’ with the Bor
Abuttonand confirm with the Cbutton.
dAdjustthe volume with the Dor Cbutton.
eConfirmwith the OK button.
fToend, press the MENU button.
