Automatic switch-off (tuner mode)
Ifyou do not use the video recorder for a few minutes in
certainmodes (e.g.: STOP), it will switch to standby
automatically.You can cancel this function to use the video
recorderas a television receiver (tuner).
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the Bor
Abuttonand confirm with the menu button C.
dSelectthe line ’AUTO STANDBY’ with the Bor A
button.
eSelect’OFF’ with the Dor Cbutton. If you select
ON’,the function will be switched on.
fConfirmwith the OK button.
gToend, press the MENU button.
DATIMERrecording only works when the video
recorderis switched to standby.
The ’DEMO’ function
Whenthe ’DEMO’ function is switched on and the video
recorderswitched off, several menus will be demonstrated on
theTV screen. This has no influence on operating the video
recorder.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the Bor
Abuttonand confirm with the Cbutton.
dInthe line ’DEMO’, select ’ON’ with the Cor Dbutton.
Ifyou select ’OFF’ the function will be switched off.
eConfirmwith the OK button.
fToend, press the MENU button.
DThe’DEMO’ function is not possible during a’TIMER
recording’and during an ’Automatic recording from
asatellite receiver’.
Switching off the button illumination
Youcan switch off the button illumination on the front of the
machine.
aMakesure there is no cassette in the machine. Press the
PLAYGand PROGRAMME Abuttons on the video
recorderat the same time with the video recorder
switchedoff until ’OFF’ appears in the display.
bToend, by pressing STANDBYm.
DToswitch this function back on repeat step auntil
ON’appears in the display.
