Selecting the recording speed (SP or LP)
Youcan reduce the recording speed by half. This makes it
possibleto record, for example, eight-hours instead of
four-hourson an ’E240’ (four-hour) cassette.
aSwitchon the TV set and, if required,select the
programmenumber for the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’RECORDING FUNCTIONS’ with the
Bor Abutton,and confirm with the Cbutton.
dSelectthe line ’RECORD SETTINGS’ with the Bor
Abutton,and confirm with the Cbutton.
eSelectthe line ’RECORDING SPEED’ with the Bor
Abutton.
fSelectthe required recording speed with the Dor
Cbutton.
DLP:LongPlay = half recording speed (double
recordingtime).
SP:StandardPlay = normal recording speed.
DThepicture quality will be adversely affected when
recordingat half recording speed (’LP’).
DForplayback, the correct recording speed will
automaticallybe selected.
gConfirmwith the OK button.
hToend, press the MENU button.
Automatic recording from a satellitereceiver (SAT RECORDING)
Youcan only use this function, when you have a satellite
receiver,which can control other equipment by a
’programming’function through a scart cable.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU button.The main menu appears.
cSelectthe line ’RECORDING FUNCTIONS’ with the
Bor Abutton,and confirm with the Cbutton.
dSelectthe line ’RECORD SETTINGS’ with the Bor
Abutton,and confirm with the Cbutton.
eSelectthe line ’SAT RECORDING’ with the Bor
Abutton.
fSelectthe required scart socket ’E1’or’E2’withthe
Dor Cbutton.
Ifyou want to switch off the function, select ’OFF’ with
the Cor Dbutton.
gConfirmwith the OK button.
hUsea scart cable to connect the scart socket you
selectedon the video recorder ( EXT.1AV1 or
EXT.2AV 2 ) to the corresponding scart socket on the
satellitereceiver.
iInserta cassette.
DThecassette is being checked. Wait until the search
symbolin the display has gone out.
jSwitchoff with the STANDBYmbutton. The video
recorderis now ready to record. The beginning and end
ofthe recording is controlled via one of the scart sockets.
DWhenthis function is switched on and the video
recorderis switched off, ’x’ will appear on the
videorecorder display.
