—Vehicleswith a 12-volt battery and negative
grounding.
!Toprevent short-circuit, overheating or mal-
function,be sure to follow the directions

—Disconnectthe negative terminal of the
batterybefore installation.
—Securethe wiring with cable clamps or ad-
hesivetape. To protect the wiring, wrap ad-
hesivetape around them where they lie
againstmetal parts.
—Placeall cables away from moving parts,
suchas gear shift and seat rails.
—Placeall cables away from hot places,
suchas near the heater outlet.
—Donot pass the yellow cable through a
holeinto the engine compartment to con-
nectto a battery.
—Donot shorten any cables.
—Nevercut the insulation of the power cable
ofthis unit in order to share the power to
otherequipment. Current capacity of the
cableis limited.
—Usea fuse of the rating prescribed.
!IP-BUSconnectors are color-coded. Be sure
toconnect connectors of the same color.
!Placeantenna cable as far away as possible
fromthe other cables to prevent noise.
!Blackcable is ground. This cable and other
product’sground cable (especially, high-cur-
rentproducts such as power amp) must be
wiredseparately. Otherwise, fire or malfunc-
tionmay result if they are accidentally de-
tached.
!Donot connect anything other than the USB
portableaudio player/USB memory.
!Plugthe terminal of the USB portable audio
player/USBmemory firmly into the connector
toconnect, otherwise this unit may not work
properlyor an error may be displayed on the
headunit.
Cordfunction may differ according to the pro-
duct,even if cord color is the same. When con-
nectingthis system, be sure to check all
manualsand connect cords correctly.
