Playing songs in a random

order (shuffle)

Forplayback of the songs on the iPod, there
aretwo random play methods:
SHUFFLESONGS (play back songs in a ran-
domorder) and SHUFFLE ALBUMS (play back
albumsin a random order).
1 PressFUNCTION to select SHUFFLE.
2 Presscor drepeatedly to switch be-
tweenthe following settings:
!SHUFFLESONGS –Play back songs in a
randomorder within the selected list
!SHUFFLEALBUMS –Select an album ran-
domly,and then play back all the songs in it
inorder
!SHUFFLEOFF –Cancel the random play

Playing all songs in a random

order (shuffleall)

Thismethod plays all songs on the iPod ran-
domly.
%Pressand hold FUNCTION to tur n shuf-
fleall on during the playback display.
SHUFFLEALL is displayed briefly and all
songson the iPod will play randomly.
Note
Youcan also turn shuffle all on in the menu that
appearswith the pressing of FUNCTION.

Pausing a song

1 PressFUNCTION to select PAUSE.
2 Pressato turn pause on.
Playbackof the current song pauses.
#Toturn pause off, press b.

FADER(balance adjustment)—EQ (equalizer
curveadjustment)—LOUDNESS (loudness)—
SUBWOOFER(subwoofer on/off setting)—
SUBWOOFER(subwoofer setting)—
HP-FILTER(high pass filter)—BASSBOOSTER
(bassboost)—FIE (front image enhancer)—
SLA(source level adjustment)
#Youcan select the SUBWOOFER (subwoofer
setting)only when subwoofer output is turned on
inSUBWOOFER (subwoofer on/off setting).
#Whenthe F.I.E. function is on, you cannot se-
lectHP-FILTER.
#Whenthe high pass filter is on, you cannot se-
lectFIE.
#Whenthe rear output setting is REAR SP S/W,
youcannot select FIE.
#Whenselecting the FM tuner as the source,
youcannot switch to SLA.
#Toreturn to the display of each source, press
BAND.
