Portable audio player compatibility
!Inquire at the manufacturer about your
USB portable audio player/USB memory. This unit corresponds to the following.

iPod® compatibility
This unit can control and listen to songs on an iPod.

—iPod fifth generation or later
For maximum performance, we recom- mend that you use the latest version of the iPod software.
!When using an iPod, iPod Dock Connector to USB Cable is required.

Protecting your unit from theft
The front panel can be detached to deter theft.
!If the front panel is not detached from the head unit within five seconds of turning off the ignition, a warning tone sounds.
!You can turn off the warning tone. See Switching the warning tone on page 31.

!Handle gently when removing or attaching the front panel.
!Avoid subjecting the front panel to excessive shock.
!Keep the front panel out of direct sunlight and high temperatures.
