Scanning CDs and tracks
Whileyou are using DISC, the beginning of
eachtrack on the selected disc plays forabout
10seconds. When you are using MCD, the be-
ginningof the first track of eachdisc is played
forabout 10 seconds.
1 Selectthe repeat range.
Referto Repeating play on the previous page.
2 PressFUNCTION to select Scan.
PressFUNCTION until Scan appears in the
display.
3 Pressato turn scan play on.
Scan:ON appears in the display. The first 10
secondsof each track of the currentdisc (or
thefirst track of each disc)is played.
4 Whenyou find the desired track (or
disc)press bto turn scan play off.
Scan:OFF appears in the display. The track (or
disc)will continue to play.
#Ifthe display has automatically returned to
theplayback display, select Scan again by press-
ingFUNCTION.
Note
Aftertrack or disc scanning is finished, normal
playbackof the tracks will begin again.
Pausing CD playback
Pauselets you temporarily stop playback of
theCD.
1 PressFUNCTION to select Pause.
PressFUNCTION until Pause appears in the
display.
2 Pressato turn pause on.
Pause:ON appears in the display. Play of the
currenttrack pauses.
3 Pressbto turn pause off.
Pause:OFF appears in the display. Play will re-
sumeat the same point that you turned pause
on.
Using ITS playlists
ITS(instant track selection) lets you make a
playlistof favorite tracks from those in the
multi-CDplayer magazine. After youhave
addedyour favorite tracks to the playlistyou
canturn on ITS play and play just those selec-
tions.

Creatinga playlist with ITS

programming

Youcan use ITS to enter and playback up to 99
tracksper disc, up to 100 discs (with thedisc
title).(With multi-CD players sold beforethe
CDX-P1250and CDX-P650, up to 24 tracks can
bestored in the playlist.)
1 Playa CD that you want to program.
Pressaor bto select a CD.
2 PressFUNCTION and hold until TITLE
appearsin the display, then press
FUNCTIONto select ITS.
AfterTITLE is displayed, press FUNCTION re-
peatedly,the following functions appear in the
display:
TITLE(disc title input)ITS (ITS program-
ming)
