¦Connect this player’s digital output PCM/¶ jack to the Dolby Digital input jack of an amplifier or a receiver with Dolby Digital capability. Use coaxial digital output or optical digital output depending on the amplifier’s or receiver's inputs.
¦Connect this player’s ¶RF output (for LD) jack to the Dolby Digital
¦Perform the settings in the “Digital output” section on page 70, making sure to select PCM/DOLBY DIGITAL. (When shipped from factory, PCM/DOLBY DIGITAL is selected.)
¦Digital output of LD analog audio is not possible, so also connect this players audio output jack and the amp audio input jack.

Notes
Karaoke sound (mic sound, key control etc.) is not output as digital sound. When using for karaoke,
◆Be sure to connect the DVD player’s AUDIO OUT to the amplifier’s AUDIO IN.
◆Switch the amplifier’s SIGNAL SELECT setting to ANALOG. (When SIGNAL SELECT is set to AUTO, because digital sound is given priority, the karaoke function cannot be used.)
Some DVD format discs feature copy protect. With this kind of disc, when a sampling frequency of 96 kHz is selected, no signal is output from the digital output (see page 61).
