AF Function

The AF (Alt ernative Freque ncies search) fu nction is use d to search for other frequ encies in th e
same network as the currently tuned station. It automatically retunes the receiver to another
frequency in th e network which is broad casting a stronger signal wh en there are problems with
reception of the currently tuned station or better reception is possible on a different frequency.

• AF tunes the receiver only to RDS stations when you use Seek tuning or BSM Auto Memory with the
"AF" indicat or ON.
• When you recall a preset station, the tuner may update the preset station with a new frequency from
the station's AF list. (This is only available when using presets on the FM1 and FM2 bands.) No preset
numb er appears on the di sp lay if the RDS data for the sta ti on received differs fro m tha t for t he
originally stored station.
• Sound m ay be te mporarily interrupt ed by another program during an AF frequency search.
• When the tune r is tuned to a non-RDS station, the "AF" indica tor fla sh es.
• AF can be switched ON or OFF indepe nde ntly fo r each FM band.

Activating/deactivating the AF Function

AF is set to ON by default.
