Recommended monitor setting

We recommend you adjust your monitor for the highest available resolution. To do so:

1Click the right mouse button on the desktop and select Properties.

2Select the Settings tab.

3Set Color Palette to 16 bit or higher.

4Move the slide control under Desktop area to the right, to the highest reso- lution available; 800 x 600 is recom- mended. Click OK and close windows as necessary.

Recommended video accelerator setting

Note: Intel recommends that you set your video accelerator card to the basic setting when connected to a USB device, for smoother, more reli- able communication with your printer. This setting does not slow down your system in any way. To do this:

1Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.

2Double-click the Control Panel folder.

3Double-click the System icon.

4Select the Performance tab.
