Status/Tone Indicators

No service message An alarm may sound and a descriptive message displays when the handset cannot receive or place calls. You may be outside of the covered area. Walk back into the covered area. The in-service tone indicates service is re-established.

The signal strength icon indicates the strength of the signal and can assist the user in determining if the handset is moving out of range.

The battery icon indicates the amount of charge remaining in the Battery Pack. When the empty battery displays, a beep may sound to indicate the Battery Pack charge is low. You have two minutes to change the Battery Pack before losing power.

The voicemail icon indicates that you have a new voicemail message.

The download icon displays when the handset is receiving software over the air.
