ON/STOP SWITCH

The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.

THROTTLE TRIGGER

The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.

THROTTLE LOCK--OUT

The THROTTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressed before you can s queeze the throttle
trigger. This feature prevents you from acci-
dentally squeezing the trigger.

FASTIDLE LOCK

TheFAST IDLE LOCK holds thethrottle trigger
in the starting position. Activate the fast idle
lock by pressing the throttle lockout and
squeezing the throttle trigger. With the throttle
trigger squeezed, pr ess the fast idle l ock. Re-
leasethe throttle l ockout and trigger while hold -
ingthe fast idle lock button.

CHOKE KNOB

The CHOKE KNOB activates the choke to
provide additio nal fuel to the engine duri ng cold
starting.

PRIMER BULB

ThePRIMER BULB circulatesfuel to the car-
buretorto providequicker starting.

CHAIN BRAKE

The CHAINBRAKE is a device designed to
stopthe chain if kickback occurs. The chain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chainbrake activates manually
if the front hand guardi s pushed forward. The
chainbrake is disengagedby pulling the front
handgu ard back toward t he front handle a s far
as possible.

CHAIN TENSION

Itis normal for a new c hain to stretch during first
15 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLYsec tion.
WARNING: Muffleris very hot dur-
ingand after use. Do not touch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
